Rick grew up 30 miles north of Springville in Rainbow City and met his wife, Peggy, during college at the Auburn University. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Birmingham Theological Seminary and has served multiple churches across Alabama and Texas. Rick started on staff at Christ Community in 2012, and was then ordained and installed as Pastor / Teacher in 2013. 

Rick and Peggy have three girls and five boys:

Kate, Claire, Henry, Jack, Sims, Miles, Luke, and Charlotte.
